Route 248 Lane Closure
|
The Pennsylvania Turnpike Commission reports that motorists traveling westbound on State Route 248 will encounter a right-lane closure between the Centre Street Bridge (a PennDOT project currently under construction adjacent to the Riverwalck Saloon) and the Turnpike Bridge that carries I-476 over Route 248 and the Lehigh River in the Borough of Parryville, Carbon County.
The general contractor, Walsh Construction Co., has initiated the long term right-lane pattern during construction of piers for the new I-476 Bridge.
Motorists should expect the single lane pattern to be in effect until November.
All work is weather permitting and subject to change.
